Kids education

Hello friends,

I have got offer to move to Seoul and will be working in "Gangnam Finance Center". I have almost no idea about South korea and the education system. I am dependent on you guys to provide me some direction.

I have 3.5 year old daughter by name Pranavi and looking for some pre-kg English teaching school for her. Can you guys suggest me what options I have and what would be the cost of education approximately? I went through the  schools listed in this particular website, they seem to be very expensive and it was coming around 2000+ USD per month. Is this fees common across all schools?

Please provide as much information as you can. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Venki,
Which specific schools did you look into?

Fee will vary according to type of school you select as well as kid education level ( nursery, LKG,UKG, etc). But 1000-1500 USD will be minimum expense you need to consider if you opt for International Schools.

Thanks Dev for the prompt response. This is for Nursery and I am looking for school where they teach in English. Is International schools are the only option I have? Does all Indians send kids to International school only?

Its an individual choice to make. I send my Kid to Angel Indian Institute for Nursery. Its not a big like other international school around Seoul. It follows the CBSE syllabus.

It's a decision i took considering the standard or level he will be attending. I don't see a point in sending kids to international school for nursery/LKG level. The fee there is also minimal.
Around 350 USD pm ( Monthly Tution Fee) + 125 USD pm ( Bus service) + 500 USD ( one time admission fee.

Overall expense is around 500 USD pm.
