IIK started celebrating Diwali event since 2007. Following links will provide you some details and descriptions about past 3 IIK Diwali events.

In the past 2~3 years the number of attendees has been around 400~500, with around 85~90% Indians and 10~15% non Indians.
This year we are expecting total count to hit 700.

IIK Diwali is the biggest Indian event in Korea every year.

You have three options.
1) Register through online - Make payment 30,000Wons/person- Collect the ticket at the reception desk on the event day.
2) Buy ticket offline - 30,000Wons/person
3) Buy ticket on spot - 35,000Wons/person

Following are the steps to register through intenet:
Step 1 - Fill up and submit the registration form available @ www.indiansinkorea.com
Step 2 - Once you fill and submit the details, you will receive an acknowledgement email with unique temporary transaction ID in the form TR****.
Step 3 - Make the payment through internet/bank/ATM. Use the temporary transaction ID mentioned above as your name/reference/descrption/comments while transferring the the amount.
Step 4 - Once your payment is confirmed, you will receive registration and payment confirmation email within 24hrs. If you do not receive confirmation email within 24hrs, please contact the person in charge of registration.
Step 5 - On the event day, please show your confirmation email and receive the tickets at the reception.

Important Note - Your registration is complete only when you finish both [Step 1]-submit the form and [Step 3]-make the payment. If you have done only one of them, then your registration is incomplete.

30,000 KRW per person with age greater than 12 yrs. (35,000 KRW for onspot registration/payment)
Registration is free for kids under 12years old. (Although it is free, registration of number of kids is mandatory)

Important Note : If you have a kid around 10~12, while entering the hall/cafeteria, if the ticket checker feels doubtful about the kid's age, then you may have to show some document proof(Passport/Alien card) of age. If you cannot prove the kids age to be less than 12 years, then you may have to buy a new ticket on the spot for the kid(which will be same as that for adults i.e. 35,000 Wons)

It is recommended to make online internet transfer; however, bank/ATM transfers are also accepted. Make sure you mention the temporary transaction ID while transferring the registration amount.
Note 1 : Credit card payment is not possible.
Note 2 : Cash payment is possible only in case of emergencies. It is your responsibility to reach the registration incharge persons mentioned in the registration form -- to make payment by cash. Please call them and make appointment.

Option 1(Preferred): You can take your friends' or colleagues' help to transfer though internet/Bank/ATM. You can ask them to transfer on behalf of you.
Option 2: You can reach the the registration incharge persons mentioned in the registration form and make payment in cash. It is your responsibility to reach them to make payment. Please call them and make appointment.
Option 3: You can buy offline ticket.
Option 4: You can buy ticket on spot with ticket price 35,000.

When you buy offline tickets, please provide kids' count also --kids under the age 12. You will be given free kids' tickets.

Important Note 1: When you buy ticket, cancellation is impossible. It is your responsibility to attend the event or resell the ticket it someone else. IIK will not accept back the tickets once sold.

Important Note 2: Once you buy the ticket, it is completely your responsibility to keep the ticket safe with you until the event day. If you lose it, IIK is not responsible for it and IIK cannot issue a new ticket for free or a duplicate ticket for the lost one. If you lose the offline ticket, you may have to buy a new ticket by paying 30,000Wons before the last date of registration OR by paying 35,000Wons on the event day.

Yes. On-spot registration is possible. But the ticket fee will 35,000 KRW per person.

Yes. It is possible. But on spot payment fee will 35,000 KRW per person.
We consider this as onspot registration, since you donot confirm your presence in advance by making advance payment.

Last date for online registration/offline ticket purchase is Sunday, Oct 12, 2014.

Note - If the registration count reaches our target(700) earlier than the above mentioned last date, then we will close the registrations immediately, and we will not accept registrations there after.

Cancellation is impossible. IIK will not accept back the tickets once sold.
However, you can transfer the ticket it to someone in need.
Once ticket is sold, it is your responsibility to attend the event, skip the event or resell the ticket to someone else.

Note - IIK will not be involved in reselling the ticket.

If you are worried about losing the ticket, we recommend you register on the internet and collect the ticket on the event day.

Yes. The event is free for kids under 12years old. However, registration is mandatory - You must register the number of kids if you like to avail free food for them. If you don’t register, you will not receive the kids' dinner coupon.
In case of offline ticket purchase, please inform the seller about the number of kids accommodating you. You will receive kids offline ticket also.

Yes. You can avail group discount if regitered online for 5 or more above 12 Yrs. Group discount is not possible for Offline registration.

For Online registration:
When you complete the registration, you will receive a registration and payment confirmation email.
Please bring the print out copy of the confirmation email.
You can also show your confirmation email on your smart phone.
-> Once you show the confirmation email, we will issue the real ticket at the reception.

For Offline purchased Tickets:
Please bring the tickets that you purchased offline - you have to use the same ticket to get admission in the hall and cafeteria. You will not be issued any new ticket at the reception on the event day.

There is no dress code as such, but we recommend you to wear Indian ethnic dress. (business casuals or formals are also fine)

Yes. The event is open to everyone regardless of citizenship/religion. Anybody can attend.

University will provide a enough place for parking for Diwali participants.
After the university entrance->take right. It is about 120m from the University main gate. Please follow the route shown in the map. IIK Diwali Car Parking is at the basement of a building shown in the map.

University will provide special discount for parking, for Diwali participants:
-Parking fees will be 3000 KRW/day (need to show discount coupon while exit)
-Please collect the car parking discount coupon at the reception desk on the event day.

The venue hall is the first building on the left side -- located right next to the main entrance gate of the Sejong University.
You will find IIK volunteers at the entrance of the gate. They will guide you to reach the hall.
In addition, you can follow the venue-direction posters from IIK.

Cafeteria for dinner is located very close to the hall ~ about 300metres from the auditorium inside the university.
IIK volunteers will guide you to the cafeteria after the main program.
In addition, you can follow the cafeteria-direction posters from IIK.

We provide Indian Vegetarian Buffet dinner after the main program of the event.
Once you confirm your attendance at the reception desk, you will receive a event ticket. Donot lose the ticket. You have to keep it safe until the dinner time. It is solely your responsibility once the ticket is issued to you.
Adult and kids(free) get separate ticket.
To enjoy the dinner at the cafeteria, you will be asked to submit the ticket by the food caterer.

Note for Offline ticket purchasers : The ticket issued to you at the time of purchase is your actual event/dinner ticket. Please keep it safe until the event day. You will not be issued any new ticket at the reception on the event day.

No. Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.

No. We are sorry. We donot provide fire crackers. Unfortunately Korean laws are very strict and donot provide enough freedom for us to have fireworks.

Sorry. Performance registration was announced in August-Sept, and now the entries are full. We cannot accept the performance registrations at this point.
